Notes from day 3

Day 3 started slow, since some of the participants got held up in traffic. So the morning was mostly spent with individual hacking. Jasper continued his work on better tiling in mutter. Matthias continued work on filechooser improvements, Alex did more work on the document portal, moving from using gom to a simpler in-memory database for permissions. Christian was working on gnome-builder.

Around noon, we were joined by Behdad Esfahbod and Rob Taylor. Behdad brought some awesome demos: color emoji, and gx fonts. Rob Taylor gave us advice on arm build system questions for gnome continuous and xdg-app.

Behdad helped Christian to build a custom font to use for gnome-builder's minimap, and a couple of font-related GTK+ enhancement requests were discussed and filed.

Sri provided some advice on community management to elementary, and offered to help look at public posts before being published. A meeting with ED Search committee also took place as three of the members were in attendance with concrete steps to move forward on the executive director for GNOME.
