Meeting Notes
Planned by GUADEC team
- Birthday party at Science and Industry Museum
- 6 PM (party from 7 PM - 12 am) need to do clean up that same night
- Screens to project video/images
- Music
- Food will be provided - if we bring in new people, the conference is probably a better place to do it. If we feed people, we can't feed everyone.
- Might want to sell beer at the party
Goals
- Photo opportunity / generate materials for the actual party
- let's have a cake! and make sure that we have pictures of it to cut the cake (e.g. Federico and Miguel)
- we might want to set up a photo booth
- they have a photo area that posts to twitter
- we might want to have stickers that will identify people as not wanting to have their pictures taken
- Main social event of the conference
- Help people learn about the history of GNOME:
- have a panel event during the party? maybe not make it super formal
Birthday wall at the party
- can write favorite memories, why they love GNOME, etc.
- would need to provide pens and maybe prompt people ok
- @GUADEC team to check if we can put butcher paper on a wall so that we can write messages on it
Video wall
come up with visuals for the video wall. Do we want to have a slideshow of hysterical pictures, for example. Or historical.
