.NET + GNOME Hackfest 2014: Insert funny name here

Due to lack of sponsorships this event has been cancelled and rescheduled for 2015.

Europe, Vienna - October 1st to 8th

Primary contact: (!) David Nielsen - gnomeuser@gmail.com

Description

Provide further improvements benefiting users and developers of .NET applications using the GNOME platform.

Agenda, goals

GNOME# bindings

  • Ship GTK#3 (and potentially update to post 3.0 GTK+ release)
  • GNOME# bindings updated (Some of this work is already being done as a GSoC project)
  • GNOME# bindings (including GStreamer# and WebKit-GTK#) deployed cross platform

  • DBus# needs a new maintainer

Tomboy

  • Switch Tomboy's note format to Markdown.
  • Release quality client for OS X and iOS
  • Release quality client for GNOME 3
  • Alpha/Beta quality client for Android rewritten using the Tomboy Library and .NET
  • Deploy a publicly available Rainy note syncing instance

A Windows and Windows Phone client is greatly desired but lacks a contributor with access to hardware and with knowledge of the platform.

Banshee

  • Release Banshee 3.0 (Linux mandatory, OS X and Windows highly desirable)
  • Banshee Community Extensions ported to GTK#3 and released
  • Port to Webkit-GTK# (Allow Webkit powered extensions such as the Amazon MP3 store to be deployed cross platform)

Smuxi

  • Smuxi using GTK#3 released
