   3 The GNOME Foundation sets aside a budget each year to help local organizers put on GNOME-related events and activities throughout the year.

   8 == By applying for Engagement funding, you understand that: ==

  10  * you will be reimbursed for your expenses after the purchases are made and/or the event is held
  11  * this form must be completed in full
  12  * you must provide all receipts for all expenses before reimbursement happens
  13  * Receipts should be sent within two months of the event or purchase
  14  * if you are holding an event, you must write a report of the event; blog posts are the preferred type of report (remember to use one of the badges)
  15  * the GNOME Foundation reserves the right to use information about
  16 the funding approval publicly and use it in advertisements or promotional reasons seen fit by the GNOME Foundation
  17  * Applicants will receive an email confirming the receipt of the submission. 
  18  * If you do not receive acknowledgement of your request within 72 hours, it is your responsibility to follow up.

  22 Decisions may take more than a week, so please submit your request as soon as possible. We suggest at least two weeks in advance of when you need it.

  24 The Engagement Committee has the right to refuse funding or can issue partial funding approvals. Make sure you receive a formal approval before you begin spending as we cannot guarantee reimbursement of anything that is not officially approved.

  26 Please note that the GNOME Foundation will not reimburse, compensate or indemnify any risk, expense or liability not explicitly identified and agreed to in this application.  Any additional costs you incur or damages you suffer, even unforseen ones, will not be borne by the GNOME Foundation. You are not covered by any insurance policy held by the GNOME Foundation. You are not an employee of the GNOME Foundation.
