We'll like to add emphasis to the recent experience organizing big developer conferences our local community got in the last months.

PyConES is the most important python conference in Spain. It is a nomad conference and PyConES 2016 was organized in Almería in collaboration the Spanish Python Association applying the proposed organization model. Celebrated in October 2016, we host it at the University of Almería with more than 400 speakers and attendants in a three days event. And as far we know the feedback was excellent.

You can check the team organization canvas:

To make the event more memorable we had the opportunity to gift our speakers with an exclusive edition handmade etching:

Akademy 2017

https://akademy.kde.org/2017

akademy-2017.png Akademy is the annual world summit of KDE, one of the largest Free Software communities in the world. It is a free, non-commercial event organized by the KDE Community. Akademy has a tradition to be celebrated in Spain frequently too.

And Akademy 2017 and it's complementary Spanish conference is going to be held in Almería too from July 20nd to 27th organized by the KDE e.V. association with the colaboration of our local team. The size, duration and format of Akademy is, we assume, so similar to GUADEC we expect to help us a lot with the GUADEC organization tasks.

Other minor activities

And a final remark on the rest of other small but frequent activities we have done in past years as you can check at the HackLab Almería activity log.
