Welcome to the GNOME 3.0 Global Launch Party Page!

GNOME 3.0 will be officially released on April 6th 2011. That's why we created this page for GNOME friends from different corner of the world to share ideas of our GNOME 3.0 celebration event and apply to redeem some goodies from the GNOME Foundation.

{i} You can find more resources on this page to help you prepare and run your event.

Objectives

  • To celebrate the major release of GNOME - GNOME 3.0
  • To promote the GNOME 3.0 release and let everybody know what is GNOME 3.0 and its benefits
  • To create talking points and attract local / international press to talk about GNOME
  • To build awareness of GNOME and GNOME 3.0 in general

All kinds of organisations can hold a GNOME 3.0 launch party, including user groups, FOSS communities, distro communities, universities, NGOs and companie.
