What are your plans for GNOME 2.20 (next 4 months, before feature and UI freezes)?

User-visible changes:

  • Improved user interface.
  • Syslog logging for sabayon-apply.
  • New logging facility for debugging (DONE).

Non user-visible changes:

  • Integrate Pessulus into the Sabayon source tree.
  • Robustness fixes from the Novell patches (DONE).

What are your plans for GNOME 2.22 (next year)?

  • Support for Evolution and Gaim.

Do you have plans for a future release?

Yes, we'll release 2.19.0 soon.

Do you have any goals from 2.18 that were not achieved? Why?

Bug gnomebug:397742, about not using xdg.DesktopEntry. The patch wasn't done on time.

Is there something that is really missing in our infrastructure or platform that would help you?

Not really.

Do you have plans to work on other modules not maintained by you? What are they?

We'll send out proposals and patches for Evolution, Gaim, and other software which needs to be centrally managed by Sabayon.

Do you have any GNOME-wide goals suggestions for the next releases?

Not for now.
