Status Updates from Students

• The suggestion is to start fresh using the newest platform -- we've learned a lot, but still don't have a working system

• Starting fresh would allow us to bring MouseTrap into Gnome 3 and Python 3 compliance

• Discussed a number of options that might be used to get the current version working, as well as options for starting from scratch

Action Items

• API will check with colleagues who have opencv experience to see if they have experience with the python3 problem
• API also suggested that in the mean time, someone should look into using the ctypes option that joanie suggested
• Attend WNE's face-to-face meeting Monday at 10:00 -- they will be on IRC too, where we will continue to:

  • Explore the option of reverting to older version of ubuntu and get MouseTrap working and progress from there

  • Explore the option of a rewrite from scratch
