GCIN is an input method framework mainly developed and used by Traditional Chinese people. Its current design is simple and easy to understand, which is building most functions into the main binary and allowing other input method engines being developed as plugins. GCIN supports XIM, GTK+2, GTK+3 and Qt4, it has support for table engine (heavily used by Traditional Chinese people), Chewing (Traditional Chinese) and Anthy (Japanese).

There is a fork of GCIN available as HIME.
