Location and Accommodation
The event happens in an apartment building in the heart of Berlin. For location, map, and photos check here.
We have booked 7 apartments, each with four beds (in two rooms) and kitchen and living room. That means we have 7 hacking rooms with a table, a couch, and kitchen. We will also try to modify one of the living rooms into a everyone meeting place, with chairs and projector.
There will be wifi and paper boards, snacks, and drinks, probably lunches too.
See /Schedule for room allocations.
Getting There
Berlin has some excellent public transportation system (network plan, PDF). A regular ticket costs 2.10 EUR and allows use any of bus, tram, S-Bahn and underground for two hours.
Airports
Berlin still has three international airports: Tegel (TXL) (TXL route), Schönefeld (SXF) and Tempelhof (THF)
Directly in front of Tegel's arrival hall the TXL bus route is starting, which crosses many underground and S-Bahn lines. Schönefeld has its own S-Bahn line S9. Tempelhof owns an underground station.
Arrive at Tegel if you have the chance to choose. It's the most convenient and efficient among Berlin's airports (whereas Schönefeld is an embarrassing disaster).
