1. GNOME Clock
By Emily Gonyer
Work with the GNOME Design Team and Seif Lotfy on GNOME Clock, in order to provide the GNOME community with a clock application. GNOME Clock will allow users to quickly and easily determine the time of day anywhere in the world, helping them keep in touch with family, friends and co-workers. GNOME Clock will also allow users to set alarms so that when time X rolls around they know they need to do Y. A stopwatch/timer will also be included so that users can time themselves and/or others as needed.
GSoC Update 5 - August 5, 2012
GsoC Update 6 - August 18, 2012
GSoC has been a fantastic experience, and one from which I have learned a lot - about Python & GTK+ certainly, but also about working together with a team of hackers and designers. GNOME Clocks has come a long way - from little more than mockups done by Seif to a fully functioning world clock, complete with alarms, a timer and stopwatch. Our team has grown with clocks - from just Seif & myself, adding Eslam Mostafa and, since GAUDEC, an influx of help from Alex Anthony, Paolo Borelli and several others. Thanks to everyone who has helped make GNOME Clocks a reality over the last few months!!
