Shaun McCance

http://www.gnome.org/~shaunm/shaunm.jpg

Shaun has been involved with GNOME since 2002. He maintains Yelp and gnome-doc-utils, which together provide a complete toolchain for viewing and deploying DocBook documentation. He also leads the GNOME Documentation Project, providing editorial assistance for all GNOME documentation and maintaining two packages containing user and developer documentation. His recent projects include Mallard, a new documentation format designed from the ground up for modern online help systems; and Pulse, a pan-galactic project tracker that gives hackers the information they need to do their job better.

Shaun is comfortable with C, Python, and JavaScript, although he's touched numerous other programming languages over the years. He loves structured information, but isn't afraid to get his hands dirty writing custom parsers when necessary. He actually enjoys technical writing. View Shaun's résumé.
