  • Team Meetings will occur the first Friday of each month
  • Today's meeting goal is on short term goals on immediate needs, future meetings will focus more on longer term services and plans
  • John's short term goal is for each team member to own a project

Tasks

  • GNOME Buildbot (http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-infrastructure/2009-May/msg00051.html). Paul Cutler to look into opening port 9070 for the buildbot team. (If yes, Paul will need to request through Owen to open ticket with the Red Hat IT team). Paul to work with Fredp on the number of changes needed and what level of security is provided by Buildbot. (Login / passwords in the clear?)

  • Damned Lies: i18n team would like the ability to push translations via Damned Lies' web interface directly into git. Need to create a hook so that only translations are what gets pushed. It could be developed to allow a no-passphrase ssh key with no IP limiting. Sri to develop the git hook and work with John and Owen for review.
  • Plone Deployment (http://live.gnome.org/GnomeWeb/Plone/Deployment): Plone test instance to be deployed on socket.gnome.org for testing. Paul to work with Carsten Senger on deploying the Plone test instance per the calendar Lucas Rocha develped for the wgo revamp. Plone and Zope need to be compiled from default via zc.buildout, and backup needs to be considered prior to full deployment.

  • wgo analytics: Request from the Marketing team to install Piwik to undrestand wgo traffic. Sysadmin team has concerns around Piwik's security. (CMS team also would like better statistics for Plone). Jeff to look at Piwik's current security status, and if possible, recommend alternatives.
  • lgo / Bugzilla slowness: Alexandro and Riccardo to investigate and report back on the current causes of the slowness of bgo and lgo. (lgo's server may have low memeory as well).
  • LDAP: Jeff to look into current LDAP issues, including the create-auth scripts with John and current issues causing LDAP failure with Owen or Olav)

Misc. Action Items

  • Jeff to rebuild Docbook for gnomeweb
  • Paul to transcribe and send out minutes
  • Discuss sudo / root propogation in next months meeting
  • John to add the new team to the gnome-sysadmin mailing list to see RT emails
