Why:

• Gnome Music developers would like to draw attention to a new app in Gnome 3.10 - Gnome Music - discuss features, test application and hack on it.

What:

• The hackfest is supposed to bring the community together and promote new app among Gnome users, developers, designers and QA.

When:

• 5-7 August

Agenda, goals

• Clean up code, improve thread safety
• Implement logging
• Complete Phase 2 goals:
  • Repeat/Shuffle
  • Playlists
  • Selection
  • GMenu actions
• Discussion and implementation of Phase 3 goals:
  • Search
  • Remote resources:
    • UPnP
    • ownCloud
    • etc.
• Bug Squash, workflow and design mockups discussion

Measuring your success

• Developers, QA and designers work on workflow, which fits the whole team
• Post-release features are planned and documented on wiki
• More developers/QA/users are drawn by hackfest
• All bugs are triaged, patches are reviewed
• Phase 2 features are polished
• Code follows the gjs guide
