what we did today

  • refined the brand definition
  • started to turn that into a set of guidelines
  • started to think about visual identity, but didn't get very far...
  • spoke about outreach
    • planned a gnome love day
    • discussed a possible project plan for our opw marketing intern (wiki page restructuring, graphic design)
    • reviewed existing challenges - jhbuild/test images
  • talked about marketing our technologies and how that relates to the brand

to do for wednesday

  • develop visual identity and brand presentation
    • relevant art for web and visual design
    • think about updating marketing materials
  • formulate talking points, write answers to who, what and why questions, write copy for about us page
  • plan how to reach out to non-technical/traditional audiences (potential events we could attend - south by south west, tech fest nw, etc)
  • review and update the existing brand/logo usage guidelines
  • clear out old marketing materials, move the keepers to owncloud
  • write something about the chromebook donation
  • plan marketing activities for the summer, particularly around guadec and outreach
  • more press releases!
