1.3. How to get there

The venue is near the center of the city, the address is Napoleontos Zerva 10: http://mapq.st/1ObwLzY

Bus connection to the venue: From the center, bus lines 3, 7, 10, 11 (and 11B), 31, 39 (and 39A). The bus stop is a couple of minutes on foot: http://oasth.gr/#en/stopinfo/screen/1124/

From the airport, bus line 78 (2€ fee). You get off at Evzonon (ΕΥΖΩΝΩΝ), take the first street right and walk a couple of blocks: http://mapq.st/1StXXwL

1.3.1. Flying to Thessaloniki airport (SKG)

From the airport, you can take bus number 78 that takes you to the center of the city. The fee is 2€, you don't need to buy the ticket in advance, but have your coins ready. Bus number 79 takes you to a nearby station where you can take another bus.

A taxi from the airport to the center should take around 15€, maybe a bit more.

1.3.2. Transportation inside Thessaloniki

If you're staying at the center of the city, you can most likely walk to most places you'll need.

The only means of public transportation in the city is buses. You can get more information on Google maps (don't trust timetables there) or http://oasth.gr

Another nice option is rental bikes: http://www.thessbike.gr/en/ You register once using your passport and receive your bike card, which includes at least 5€ for bike rentals. There is a 2€ deposit that you get back once you return your card. The price is 1€ per hour. Bikes can be taken from one station and returned to another. A map of the stations is here: http://ibike.thessbike.gr/en/map-en

You'll notice the ubiquitous metro construction works, which are stalled as they keep discovering layer after layer of older versions of the city and at the same time running out of funds. As you can imagine, it's now a running gag among the locals.

1.4. Accommodation and food

The venue is in walking distance (15 minutes or less) from these hotels:

Other hotels might be a bit further away (check it on the map), but you'll have a bus connection. Just make sure you're at the center.

Alternatively, Airbnb offers many nice options.

Thessaloniki is well-known for never having a shortage on cafés, bars, restaurants etc. You'll find something pretty much at every corner.
