1. GStreamer Spring Hackfest 2017

1.2. Description

The GStreamer developers are meeting for a week-end in A Coruña to work on the project. The hackfest is an informal gathering of people interested in working on GStreamer. Everyone with an interest in GStreamer is welcome to join.

Feel free to add items you are interested to discuss and work on here for preparation.

1.4. Venue and Dates

The hackfest will last 2 days, but May 19th is considered the arrival day and the 22th the departure day, so the venue will also be available those days.

The hackfest will happen at the Igalia offices (see the photo), which are located at

1.6. How to get there

1.6.1. Fly to A Coruña (recommended)

A Coruña airport (LCG) is connected to Madrid, Barcelona, Lisboa, London/Heathrow.

To get to the venue from A Coruña Airport, use the Airport-City Center Bus line (Line 4051 Puerta Real - Aeropuerto.) - Stop at Bus Station (Estación de Autobuses).

1.6.2. Fly to Santiago

Santiago airport (SCQ) is connected to Madrid, Barcelona, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt/Hahn, Istanbul, Geneva, Basel/Mulhouse, Geneva, Milan/Bergamo, Paris/CDG.

About 50km from Coruña, it's a good option if you have a direct flight, but requires taking the bus to the Santiago train station and then the train to Coruña.

Airport Information.

1.6.3. Train or Bus

Train and bus connections to A Coruña are available from all major cities in Spain. The train and bus stations are a short walk from the venue and hotel.

Train tickets are available from Renfe.

Bus tickets are available from ALSA amongst other carriers.

1.6.4. Car

It is also possible to drive to A Coruña.

1.7. Accommodation

We recommend staying in Hotel Avenida, which is a five minute walk from the Igalia office and offers very reasonable rates.

We are happy to help book your reservation at the hotel and pair you up in a double-room to save money. Just let us know when confirming your attendance. If you book by yourself, please mention Igalia in order to get a better price.
