- Update on our pre-event survey for GNOME.Asia Summit 2011
1.1 Pockey Sent email to : Owen Taylor, Vincent Untz, Jon McCann, Paul Cutler. Vincent and paul replied 1.2 Based on their feedback , we need to re-think about :
- 1) our introduction is not clear 2) our goals are also not so clear 3) should we do a hackfest that is for the working teams to work on the launch of GNOME 3 during the release 4) we learnt that a survey is definitely useful, as even paul and vincent are not sure how many of their teams will participate
- The goals should be broad to encourage the most people to attend.
- First ask "Would you need The GNOME Foundation to cover your travel expenses?"
- if they answer yes, then ask how much they expect they would need.
- if they answer no, we could ask whether they plan to pay themselves or if their employer would pay

From Indonesia: Utian sent some resorts pictures here http://live.gnome.org/GnomeAsia/ResortVenue and added info for the 1 day conference in IPB international convention center
- For Hong Kong: Pockey's contact in hong kong told that they got turned down by universities to host the 5 days hackfest, but conference is possible. Now the contacts are sourcing resorts / youth hostels
- From India : abharath met his university administration, explained them our plans about hackfest and conference, they will need some time to reply back, may be by next week they will reply back - We are not looking for any resort yet as we first want to make sure that we get university for our event which may be at zero cost.

- Will will follow up on the three mailing list and update us by email.

- - For the European event box , it's just one box with all the equipments plus gnome stuff , move around from one conference to another conference - Borrow the content from the U.S./Europe event box, translate and reuse it. - 1 per active country.. active as in we have a user group or we want to have one... - the box is a bunch of gnome-marketing materials that can help gnome contributors to host gnome events locally - box used to help give an identity to the local promoters and make their job of promoting easier

- Mario's company use of GNOME/Gnome.Asia logo
Mario's company site is http://mbm.vn/, all the GNOME.Asia committee member agree to draft an email to Mario about the usage of GNOME/GNOME.Asia logo. Fred and will will draft and send an email to Mario together
- Move below three topics to the next meeting:
- Discuss about GNOME stores in Asia
- Discuss about GNOME.Asia website: adding new contents
- Discuss about build TW gnome users group
New AI:
- AI - 1 Pockey add two questions in the survey: 1) people would like to have such an event before, during or after. 2) ask why and what they would be interested to work on with a bunch of other GNOME people
- AI - 2 : Pockey to modify the survey questions (have an idea of how much needed for the travel subsidy)
- AI - 3 : Pockey to send out test survey to everybody for 2nd round feedback
- AI - 4 : Emily to rasie the idea of GNOME 3.0/GNOME.Asia 2011 proposal to board meeting this week.

- AI - 9: Pockey to send 96 email addresses to Max to invite to the GNOME-TW list
- AI - 10: Fred and Will draft an email to Mario, have the list approve it and send it for him to request logo usage. Ask Mario to official request to use GNOME/GNOME.Asia logo and explain why.
- The next meeting will be the same time on Oct 5th, 2010. Allan will take the meeting notes. Emily will be regret for the next meeting during her national holiday.
