When recommending places to dine and planning lunch ideas, keep in mind that some of the attendees are:

  • Vegan
  • Vegetarian
  • Do not eat beef
  • Do not eat eggs
  • Intolerant/allergic to gluten, soy...

If you are planning to have a catered lunch, make sure that there is at least a vegetarian option for all courses. Don't feel bound to have a meat option - a mix of vegetarian and vegan options has been successful in the past.

Also take into consideration the range of budgets of the attendees. There are students and some people with low to medium income amongst them. If one of the events has food on site that is not sponsored, be explicit about it.
