Juan Gonzalez aka Obijuan

  • He has been championing an open hardware revolution in the 3D printing through building the Clone Wars 3D printing community, arduino and open FPGA space through tutorials, creating content and championing the use of free software tools. He has built two open source hardware boards in a community driven fashion collaboratively, the ZUM to improve the use of Arduino in robotics, and the IceZum, an FPGA based on the reverse engineered iCE40 chipset with an Arduino-like layout to improve its use for teaching FPGA and electronics.

Sharon Woods

  • General council of Defence Digital Service, US Department of Defence. She has pushed using Free Software within governments and particularly within a traditionally closed environment and against heavy lobbying from proprietary software vendors. Gave an excellent and engaging talk at LibrePlanet, and would be an interesting keynote for GUADEC attendees.
