During the GUADEC 7, for now, we want to play a football match, the game is played with 7 players each side. The tournament is going to have four teams of ten players each. Each team will play a semifinal round and the winners will play the final and the losers will fight for the 3rd and 4th place.

The date for the championship will be Sunday 25 June. Actually we are missing around five players to close the subscription. Hurry up! All the teams will have a nice equipation for a very low subscription cost (10€).

The field is artificial grass and you can use any sport shoes except boots with metalic ends.

Rules

The rules are fairly straight forward:

  • no offsides, the forwards will need to come and defend anyway
  • throw-ins will be played on the floor (ie. passed with the foot), not "thrown" in
  • goal-keepers will not be allowed to drop-kick the balls (the pitches are small, and the goal keepers aren't rugby players)
  • and if we get into that: dangerous play (ie. yellow cards) will be punished by a 5-minute sinbin (similar to rugby and hockey), and 2nd yellow card will be a sending off as normal
