Man Met -- (done 15/05/2017)
University of Manchester
From a former compsci PhD at U of M:
- Duncan Hull - Does outreach/industrial placement stuff/ general middleman between industry and academia (teaching side)
http://www.cs.man.ac.uk/~hulld/ Not sure if he is still doing this but, David Rydeheard used to be leading the outreach for school children and public facing events.
http://www.manchester.ac.uk/research/david.e.rydeheard/ Overall, Duncan hull is probs the best person to contact, he is nice too. Oh and there is always Toby Howard. He is the head of undergraduate and is also very nice. He keeps students up to date with the goings on around the school and manchester area. He could possibly help advertise the event for you (but closer to the event, unless your wanting little minions/helpers)
Sam contacted Duncan and Toby on 25th May and Toby agreed to put GUADEC in their weekly newsletter.
Mark Tearle also works for U of M.
Man Met Uni
Sam has a contact who is a student there.
