09:03 < OgMaciel> morning
09:03 -!- Irssi: #foundation: Total of 10 nicks [0 ops, 0 halfops, 0 voices, 10 normal]
09:04 < OgMaciel> small crowd today :)
09:04 < BLUG_Fred> hey!
09:04 -!- hadess [~hadess@cpc6-glfd5-2-0-cust126.6-2.cable.virginmedia.com] has joined #foundation
09:05 -!- yippi [~bc99092@sca-ea-fw-1.Sun.COM] has joined #foundation
09:05 < OgMaciel> I think we can get started
09:05 < yippi> hello
09:05 < pockeylam> hi
09:05 < OgMaciel> there are some tentative subjects we can talk about depending on the general interest
09:06 < afranke> Afternoon OgMaciel :)
09:06 < BLUG_Fred> OgMaciel: maybe giving you back op permissions? ;-)
09:07 < OgMaciel> BLUG_Fred: I forgot who did it last time :)
09:07 < OgMaciel> http://live.gnome.org/FoundationBoard/MeetingAgenda is where all topics are
09:08 -!- zana [~zana@static-71-174-236-21.bstnma.fios.verizon.net] has joined #foundation
09:09 < pockeylam> OgMaciel, the topics are good, maybe we can go through one by one?
09:09 -!- emily [~emily@221.223.86.244] has joined #foundation
09:10 < OgMaciel> pockeylam: sweet
09:10 < OgMaciel> so
09:10 < OgMaciel> Fog Campaign
09:11 < OgMaciel> During this last Boston Summit we had a very productive meeting
09:11 < OgMaciel> and decided on a couple of action items to launch the new FoG page
09:11 < OgMaciel> together with new benefits
09:11 < OgMaciel> the one that stands out from the contributor's pov is the free L
09:11 < OgMaciel> LWN subscription
09:12 < OgMaciel> basically, current and new subscribers gets ones
09:12 < pockeylam> do we know how many people subscribed so far?
09:12 < OgMaciel> there's also the new Adopt a Hacker Annual plan for $100
09:13 < OgMaciel> pockeylam: not off the top of my head but it is something we can and should calculate
09:13 < OgMaciel> pcutler_: ^^
09:13 < OgMaciel> zana: ^^
09:13 < pcutler_> I don't think we typically make those numbers public
09:14 < pockeylam> http://blogs.gnome.org/foundation/2010/12/03/announcing-the-new-friends-of-gnome/
09:14 < BLUG_Fred> aren't we aiming at getting 400 by year end?
09:14 < pockeylam> pcutler_, not necessary public, but at least for the marketing team to know? so we can work on the target?
09:14 < pcutler_> isn't that the same thing?
09:15 < OgMaciel> pcutler_: I believe stormy did publish some data about it
09:15 < BLUG_Fred> pcutler_: isn't there a name of all friends on gnome on a wiki page?
09:15 < pockeylam> yeah, i saw the lists of people donated
09:15 < pockeylam> from live.gnome.org
09:15 < pcutler_> BLUG_Fred: that includes both monthly and one time donors
09:15 < pcutler_> I'd have to check what our policy is - I don't want to share private data without checking first
09:15 < pockeylam> http://www.gnome.org/friends/previous-donors.html
09:15 < pockeylam> it's okay
09:16 < OgMaciel> pcutler_: could you make that an action item?
09:16 < pcutler_> and those people on that page opt in
09:16 < BLUG_Fred> I was thinking we could try to push GUG to ask their members to subscribe, but my last post on GUGMaster didn't get much GUG to react..
09:17 < BLUG_Fred> OgMaciel, pcutler_ : so we do have a specific target by year end, yes or no?
09:17 < OgMaciel> the one feedback I got from the new FoG is that we should make it clear that those numbers are not "hard coded" and that you're free to choose your amount
09:17 < emily> BLUG_Fred: I wan thinking about start promote FoG in Beijing GUG this year
09:17 < OgMaciel> BLUG_Fred: we want to get 400 new subscriptions but don't know about a deadline per se
09:17 < BLUG_Fred> emily: hey!.. yes.. me too ;-)
09:17 < OgMaciel> pcutler_: could you make that an action item?
09:18 < BLUG_Fred> OgMaciel: I see. i thought it was by year end.. i imagine stuff... and put pressure on myself.. it's more fun this way
09:18 < pcutler_> OgMaciel: sorry, I'm in a meeting at work right now, semi-afk
09:18 < OgMaciel> BLUG_Fred: no harm in getting those numbers earlier :)
09:18 < BLUG_Fred> emily: you could add the small badges that have been made. I did had one on my blog a while back
09:18 -!- mode/#foundation [+o hadess] by Stric
09:18 < OgMaciel> pcutler_: no worries, I'll be at a meeting in 10 minutes myself
09:19 < BLUG_Fred> OgMaciel: well it's also good to 'work' toward a target
09:19 < yippi> aside from giving away subscriptions to LWN, what is new about the FoG campaign?
09:19 < OgMaciel> so, next topic is the hiring "spree" hehehe
09:19 < OgMaciel> ooops
09:19 < emily> <BLUG_Fred>: good suggestion for the badges
09:19 < pockeylam> emily, http://www.gnome.org/friends/promote.html
09:19 < BLUG_Fred> emily: every GUG should do it...
09:19 < OgMaciel> yippi: basically we want to make sure people know why donate and where their money is going
09:20 < OgMaciel> so we will be adding some videos soon to the page
09:20 < pockeylam> i will ask gnome-taiwan to put the badge
09:20 < BLUG_Fred> emily: and maybe present the program to their members and what the gnome foundation does with the funds collected in general
09:20 < OgMaciel> to show hackers thanking donors for their support, etc
09:20 < BLUG_Fred> pockeylam: that's also another idea for GUG topics... :)
09:20 < yippi> will the money raised go to anything specific?
09:20 <@hadess> BLUG_Fred: we already do that in the annual report...
09:20 < pockeylam> BLUG_Fred, good idea
09:20 < OgMaciel> yippi: support hackfests, travel costs...
09:20 < BLUG_Fred> hadess: yes.. so we could put down a few slides to present at GUGs and LUGs
09:21 < OgMaciel> yippi: from your question I believe we should be more explicit about the destination of the donations
09:21 < yippi> How does FoG work. Don't we have a targetted campaign? The last was for the sysadmin right?
09:21 < OgMaciel> correct
09:21 < yippi> Or do we do the targetted campaign every other 6 months
09:21 < yippi> and funds received between campaigns is for general expenses or something?
09:22 < yippi> I'm just wondering how FoG works.
09:22 < OgMaciel> yippi: that is a question which I'm not sure since I just recently joined the marketing team.... maybe another member can answer?
09:22 < yippi> I thought the next targetted campaign was to buy hardware (servers)
09:22 < BLUG_Fred> I think a lot of UG look for topic every month.. if we make it easy to present they could easily help us to promote
09:22 < OgMaciel> BLUG_Fred: cool!
09:22 < yippi> but perhaps the hardware campaign isn't starting now?
09:22 < OgMaciel> yippi: I'll make sure to get an answer to these questions
09:23 < OgMaciel> I need to talk to pcutler_ and others first
09:23 < pockeylam> targetted campaign can definitely draw more attention and action
09:23 < yippi> So, Og, you are saying that this "FoG Campaign Update" is not about a specific campaign, but about providing new benefits (such as LWN subscription)?
09:23 < yippi> I know the a11y team was asking us if they could do a targetted campaign too.
09:23 -!- jrb [~jrb@nat-pool-3-rdu.redhat.com] has joined #foundation
09:23 < yippi> So, it might be useful if Foundation members might chip in and let us know if there are other things that we should be considering raising money for.
09:24 < OgMaciel> yippi: correct. my update is related to the changes in the program and unfortunately I don't have a lot of context to answer the details about the goals for the campaign
09:24 < yippi> Right now I think money for servers and for the a11y project is all that has been brought to our attention.
09:24 < OgMaciel> sounds like a plan
09:24 < yippi> I'd think pcutler should know.
09:24 < OgMaciel> yes
09:24 < OgMaciel> should we move to the next topic?
09:24 < yippi> Sure
09:24 < OgMaciel> ok
09:25 < OgMaciel> GNOME isHiring
09:25 < OgMaciel> GNOME is Hiring
09:25 < OgMaciel> So we're still in the process of hiring a replacement for Stormy
09:25 < OgMaciel> and conidering hiring someone to do our marketing campaign for 3.0
09:25 < OgMaciel> I wonder if pcutler_ may be able to give us an update on this front?
09:26 < OgMaciel> or someone else?
09:26 < BLUG_Fred> OgMaciel: did we get a lot of candidate? how successful has been the announcement?
09:26 < OgMaciel> I *need* to step out for a few to attend a meeting at work and hadess has kindly accepted to take over for me
09:26 < BLUG_Fred> OgMaciel: have some people applied for the marketing position as well?
09:27 < OgMaciel> yippi, zana do you have an answer for BLUG_Fred ?
09:27 * OgMaciel will be back in ~15 minutes
09:27 <@hadess> BLUG_Fred: we created a committee for the interview process, with a separate mailing list
09:27 < pcutler_> We don't have an answer on that - as a Board, we haven't decided to hire a marketing firm or vote on it yet
09:28 <@hadess> and unfortunately i'm not in it, so i cannot actually tell you how many people responded, or whether it was successful
09:28 < yippi> pcutler we did vote and approved the plan to hire someone. We just haven't decided on the details.
09:28 < pcutler_> that's what I get for trying to multitask then :)
09:28 < yippi> hire a short-term marketing contract. We approved moving forward with Stormy's proposal.
09:28 < BLUG_Fred> ok.. well. I thought people attending would be interested to know if becoming ED of GNOME Foundation is popular or not...
09:29 < yippi> It received 4 +1 votes, anyway and no -1's yet.
09:29 < yippi> I suppose we could shoot it down now.
09:29 < zana> is anyone on the interviewing committee here?
09:30 < yippi> Andreas, Og, Brian and Emily gave the +1
09:30 < emily> German is in the interviewing committee? German is not here right now . zana
09:30 -!- pockeylam [~pockeylam@119.121.72.144] has quit [Leaving]
09:31 -!- pockeylam [~pockeylam@119.121.72.144] has joined #foundation
09:32 < BLUG_Fred> well ok. so apparently no one else has questions. We can probably move to the next topic
09:32 <@hadess> t-shirt contest
09:33 <@hadess> pcutler_ can probably answer more questions about it than i would
09:33 < pcutler_> http://www.gnome.org/contest/
09:33 < pcutler_> We are looking for t-shirt designs to sell in the GNOME Zazzle store
09:33 < pcutler_> the contest runs through January 15th and the prizes and submission form are on the page above
09:35 < BLUG_Fred> i blogged about it, I also emailed a few Free Software designers and Nina Paley (Sita Sings the Blues) to advertise the competition
09:35 -!- mode/#foundation [+o OgMaciel] by hadess
09:35 < pcutler_> great, thanks for doing that
09:35 < pcutler_> any other questions?
09:35 -!- hadess changed the topic of #foundation to: GNOME Foundation IRC Meeting: Next meeting on December 8th, 2010 @ 14:00 UTC | Agenda: http://live.gnome.org/FoundationBoard/MeetingAgenda
09:35 < BLUG_Fred> emily: maybe BJ GUG could also place this as a news on front page...
09:36 < emily> sure, good suggestion
09:36 < BLUG_Fred> emily: i'll ask beijing lug to do so...
09:36 < BLUG_Fred> emily: my blog is on their planet so they should know, but still....
09:36 * OgMaciel is back from meeting
09:36 < emily> pcutler_: For the result of the T-shirts, we could plan to include it in the GNOME 3.0 Launch party goodies
09:36 <@OgMaciel> hadess: feel free to continue
09:36 <@hadess> OgMaciel: that was quick
09:37 <@OgMaciel> hadess: stand up meeting at work every day :)
09:37 <@OgMaciel> but I called in as I'm remote from car dealer
09:37 <@hadess> OgMaciel: yeah, that's one way for everyone to know :)
09:37 <@OgMaciel> :)
09:39 <@OgMaciel> next topic?
09:39 < BLUG_Fred> could GNOME t-shirt contest be 'news' for LWN?
09:39 < BLUG_Fred> did we receive any submission yet?
09:40 <@hadess> BLUG_Fred: i'm pretty sure it was already posted
09:40 < BLUG_Fred> hadess: ok great then...
09:40 <@OgMaciel> maybe we could do a better job at describing the objective of the FoG campaign and "roll it in" with the t-shirt contest and send it to lwn?
09:40 <@OgMaciel> I will work on that (minus LWN) anyway
09:41 < BLUG_Fred> OgMaciel: also it seems Dave has good contact with Linux.com editors... maybe we could have something there?
09:41 <@OgMaciel> sounds good to me BLUG_Fred
09:41 <@hadess> hmm, maybe not
09:42 <@hadess> BLUG_Fred: actually, doesn't look like it made it to lwn
09:42 < BLUG_Fred> OgMaciel: or we could open a community blog on linux.com and copy the foundation blog content there?
09:43 < BLUG_Fred> i'll push the idea on the marketing list....
09:43 <@OgMaciel> BLUG_Fred: not sure about that last one as it implies that someone must take ownership of maintaining it, etc
09:43 < BLUG_Fred> (one AI for me then...)
09:43 -!- yippi_ [~bc99092@sca-ea-fw-1.Sun.COM] has joined #foundation
09:44 < pcutler_> BLUG_Fred: I was just about to say that you should do that :)
09:44 <@OgMaciel> hehe
09:44 < BLUG_Fred> pcutler_: lol
09:44 -!- yippi [~bc99092@sca-ea-fw-1.Sun.COM] has quit [Read error: 104 (Connection reset by peer)]
09:44 < yippi_> sorry, got bumped
09:44 -!- yippi_ is now known as yippi
09:44 <@OgMaciel> next topic?
09:44 < BLUG_Fred> it falls somehow under marketing.. and it's just a copy & paste job.
09:44 < BLUG_Fred> OgMaciel: ok with me
09:45 <@OgMaciel> * GTK+?/MeeGo call for bids
09:45 <@OgMaciel> that is up hadess alley :)
09:45 <@hadess> that'd be mine
09:45 <@hadess> we received a number of proposals, and i will discuss it going forward with the board tomorrow
09:46 <@hadess> and get a couple of people on board to look at the proposals
09:46 <@hadess> and hopefully i'll get an answer to the proposal before heading out for the xmas holidays
09:46 <@OgMaciel> sweet!
09:46 <@hadess> proposals even
09:47 -!- jorchube [~jorchube@149.Red-80-38-220.staticIP.rima-tde.net] has joined #foundation
09:47 < BLUG_Fred> hadess: can we know how many?
09:48 < BLUG_Fred> roughly
09:48 < BLUG_Fred> is it 1-5 , 10, 50?
09:48 <@hadess> 1-5
09:48 < BLUG_Fred> thank you
09:49 <@OgMaciel> (as a side note I'd like to inform that officially we have ~12 minutes left and maybe we should choose a topic from the list?)
09:49 <@OgMaciel> or answer any questions?
09:49 < BLUG_Fred> we should hurry then.. :(
09:49 <@hadess> a lot of lurkers, but BLUG_Fred is the only one asking questions :)
09:50 <@hadess> BLUG_Fred: so you get to choose the next topic!
09:50 <@OgMaciel> yay!
09:50 < BLUG_Fred> GNOME certification process
09:50 * OgMaciel is interested in that one as well :)
09:50 <@OgMaciel> yippi: ?
09:50 < BLUG_Fred> hadess: thank you...
09:51 < yippi> Recently several volunteers have pinged The GNOME Foundation suggesting an interest in getting a GNOME certification process started to help improve developer
09:51 < yippi> to encourage GNOME development rather. :)
09:52 < pockeylam> wow, a lot of gug members will be interested as well...
09:52 < yippi> Juanjo Marin and Dave Neary were sending emails to the foundation list about this lately.
09:52 < pockeylam> from different countries that we know
09:52 <@OgMaciel> sweet!
09:52 < yippi> But I think more volunteers are needed to really make this happen.
09:52 <@OgMaciel> yippi: do we know what steps are required to get this off the ground?
09:52 < pockeylam> what profile of volunteers are needed?
09:53 < yippi> It sounds like a few folks from GNOME Hispano are working on this.
09:53 < yippi> So, if the GNOME.Asia guys want to have an opportunity to work with GNOME Hispano, this might be a good project.
09:53 < yippi> I'd contact Juanjo if you have an interest in working on this sort of thing, or Dave Neary
09:53 < BLUG_Fred> yippi: we have language issues a bit.. our Spanish sucks
09:54 <@OgMaciel> so would this be something "backed" by the foundation or a third party kind of thing?
09:54 < yippi> Fernando Herrera also expressed an interest
09:54 <@OgMaciel> BLUG_Fred: I can help with that but it shouldn't be a blocker
09:54 < yippi> The idea is to set up a checklist or guidelines that an application developer can check off to receive GNOME certification.
09:55 < yippi> To indicate the program they wrote is a "quality GNOME application"
09:55 <@OgMaciel> hmmmmm
09:55 < yippi> They probably need to ensure that they support things like a11y, for example. Good localization
09:55 <@OgMaciel> I misunderstood the topic as being a RHCE certification but for GNOME
09:55 < BLUG_Fred> is it free?
09:55 <@hadess> that sounds like something i proposed for gnome 3...
09:55 < yippi> perhaps The GNOME Foundation would review and certify or it could be a self-certification process.
09:56 < yippi> perhaps you should talk to Fernando, sounds like he wants to work with you
09:56 <@OgMaciel> so is this more of a "This app was developed conform the standards and best practices from GNOME"?
09:56 < yippi> well, it isn't very fleshed out yet, so it could probably be a lot of different things.
09:56 < BLUG_Fred> any ETA?
09:56 < afranke> Does being certified have anything to do with the Applications moduleset?
09:56 < yippi> but, i'm trying to give a general picture of how it could develop. It mostly depends on whether we can find volunteers to make it happen.
09:57 < yippi> we could tie certification to the application moduleset
09:57 <@OgMaciel> hmmm
09:57 < yippi> it could also become a new way to organize applications.
09:57 < yippi> providing a quality metric for applications
09:57 < yippi> it might be good if it weren't black/white on/off true/false.
09:57 < yippi> but a spectrum. My program meets 85% of quality requirements.
09:58 < yippi> with 100% hard to attain
09:58 < yippi> or it could be more simple
09:58 < yippi> there is no ETA. Just people interested to work on this. Perhaps people with an interest could work together and put together a more concrete proposal
09:59 < pockeylam> yippi, any wiki page to check for their work in progress , so we can talk to potential volunteers?
10:00 < pockeylam> yippi, found it http://live.gnome.org/GnomeCertification
10:01 < pockeylam> i will talk to different gugs then :)
10:02 <@hadess> see also http://live.gnome.org/JavierJardon/Gnome3PortGuide
10:02 <@OgMaciel> not to be the bringer of bad news but our time is up :)
10:02 < BLUG_Fred> do we have time for 1-2 more topics?
10:03 <@OgMaciel> I can't stick around but if hadess or yippi can
10:03 <@hadess> sure
10:03 <@OgMaciel> maybe pcutler_ can join us now too?
10:03 < yippi> sure
10:03 <@OgMaciel> thanks hadess for taking over for me! :)
10:03 < yippi> if GNOME ever provides an app-store, a certification process might be more useful also
10:04 < emily> app-store ?1
10:04 <@OgMaciel> for my part I will talk to several people and prepare a concise explanation about FoG
10:04 < emily> good idea
10:04 < BLUG_Fred> hadess: Annual Report or Sysadmin update
10:04 * OgMaciel slowly returns to the dungeons at rPath and wishes everyone happy holidays!
10:04 < yippi> OgMaciel, will you send the explination to foundation-list
10:05 <@OgMaciel> yippi: absolutely, and before that I will bounce it with marketing, etc
10:05 < BLUG_Fred> OgMaciel: merry X'mas.. early (don't open your presents yet!)
10:05 <@OgMaciel> BLUG_Fred: :) thanks bud! To you too!
10:05 <@hadess> BLUG_Fred: i'm afraid i don't know anything about either
10:05 < yippi> should we go on to the next topic?
10:06 < yippi> Paul circulated the latest Annual Report to the board, which is close to being final.
10:06 < yippi> The board noticed a few minor corrections (like misspelled names) that we hope to correct. Paul is currently working to figure out who we should send copies to.
10:07 < pcutler_> soon as this last round of edits is done, we will publish
10:07 < yippi> Not sure if Paul has more of an update about the Annual Report.
10:07 < BLUG_Fred> nice to know... how much work does it take actually to do the report?
10:07 < BLUG_Fred> pcutler_:in hours or days or weeks...
10:07 < pcutler_> well, it shouldn't take this long... but we've spent a lot of time on it, more than I can count
10:08 < pcutler_> It's 60 pages or so off the top of my head
10:08 < BLUG_Fred> pcutler_: well it's important i think..
10:08 < BLUG_Fred> wow
10:08 < BLUG_Fred> 60 pages...
10:08 < BLUG_Fred> ok
10:08 < BLUG_Fred> thank you
10:08 < pockeylam> there are e version and printed versions?
10:09 < yippi> # Sysadmin update. The sysadmin team are in the process of updating the wiki to reflect outstanding tasks for the whole team. Jeff Schroeder has also expressed interest in helping with the Paypal automation. There is a new contributor in the community who fixed listadmin and who is working on updates to Mango (re-writing it in Django). Large projects upcoming include:
10:09 < yippi> * RHEL 6 migration
10:09 < yippi> * New servers (if the budget stands) - we will then install VMs in RHEL6 and migrate services from the older servers
10:09 < yippi> * blogs.gnome.org upgrade (currently running an old version of Wordpress, want to get it to 3.x)
10:09 < pcutler_> we'll off a PDF and we're looking into printing options for a limited number of copies
10:09 < yippi> Not sure if Paul has more to add to the sysadmin update.
10:10 < zana> pcutler_: and then we can start on the next one =)
10:10 < emily> one question, who is maintain the gnome bugzilla ?
10:10 < pcutler_> zana: already started :)
10:10 < yippi> For GNOME 3 launch events, we need more people to help out with planning for GNOME 3 Launch events and parties
10:10 < yippi> http://live.gnome.org/GnomeAsia/2011Summit
10:10 < yippi> http://live.gnome.org/Gnome%203%20Release%20Splash
10:10 < yippi> check out those links to see how to get involved!
10:11 < pockeylam> and this one, if you are planning for one, put your link here at http://live.gnome.org/ThreePointZero/LaunchParty
10:13 < yippi> Outreach Program for Women interns announced!
10:13 < yippi> http://mail.gnome.org/archives/foundation-list/2010-November/msg00016.html
10:13 < yippi> A Python Bindings hackfest is being planned in Prague from Jan 17-21, 2011
10:14 < yippi> http://live.gnome.org/Hackfests/Python2011
10:14 < yippi> so, I think that's all the announcements the board wanted to make that we put on the agenda.
10:15 < yippi> is there anything else people wanted to discuss or chat about?
10:15 < pockeylam> and marina said today that we already had 6 out of 8 internship girls have their blogs added to planet gnome and do an introductory post!
10:15 < yippi> great to hear
10:15 < BLUG_Fred> yes all those have been on the planet already.. I think
10:16 < yippi> We are 16 minutes over the meeting time.
10:16 < pockeylam> yippi, i m okay, no more question
10:16 < BLUG_Fred> same here
10:16 < yippi> It is great if people want to continue to hang around and discuss, but I think we can close the meeting unless there is more to discuss.
10:17 < yippi> unless there is more to discuss as a part of the meeting rather.
10:17 < BLUG_Fred> ok for me, thank you.
10:17 < yippi> I guess a good final question is when is the next meeting?
10:18 < yippi> OgMaciel has been running the IRC meetings, and since he left, we may need to get back to people on the foundation-list about this.
10:18 <@OgMaciel> yippi: one month from today
10:18 <@OgMaciel> same time perhaps and a Wednesday
10:19 < yippi> So, Saturday January 8th?
10:19 <@OgMaciel> how does eveyone feel about a weekend?
10:19 < pockeylam> OgMaciel, sounds good :)
10:19 <@OgMaciel> +1 for Saturday?
10:19 <@OgMaciel> or Wednesdays?
10:19 < yippi> I would prefer the first Wednesday of the month, same time.
10:19 < emily> Wednesdays +1
10:20 <@OgMaciel> yippi: what would be the date?
10:20 < zana> perhaps we should ask on list, as people who can't attend today prolly can't attend then either
10:20 < yippi> Wednesday, January 5th, same time 14:00-15:00 UTC
10:20 -!- OgMaciel changed the topic of #foundation to: GNOME Foundation IRC Meeting: Next meeting on January 5th, 2011 @ 14:00 UTC | Agenda: http://live.gnome.org/FoundationBoard/MeetingAgenda
10:21 <@OgMaciel> zana: good idea
10:21 < yippi> why don't we plan for the next meeting to be on Wednesday, January 5th and we can make an effort to figure out the best time for future meetings
10:21 <@OgMaciel> yes
10:21 < pcutler_> I thought we were supposed to rotate time zones
10:21 <@OgMaciel> we can ask
10:21 <@OgMaciel> and based on feedback we can change it
10:21 < yippi> the probablem with rotating time zones is it turns out nobody comes. A
10:22 < yippi> I don't mind rotating, but I think it is good to have some consistency. Perhaps we could make an effort to switch the time up every few months
10:22 <@OgMaciel> will make a point of raising this to the list
10:22 < yippi> A doodle survey might also reveal a good time
10:23 < yippi> but, let's plan to figure out a better time for a meeting after the January 5th one.
10:23 -!- pockeylam [~pockeylam@119.121.72.144] has quit [Leaving]
10:23 < yippi> giving us some time to figure it out
10:23 -!- pockeylam [~pockeylam@119.121.72.144] has joined #foundation
10:26 < emily> Let's have our next meeting on January 5th then figure out a better time work for most people
10:26 < emily> The meeting is over ? <OgMaciel>
10:26 < pcutler_> emily: yup, over
10:27 < emily> <pcutler_> Thanks
10:27 < emily> Good nite everyone
10:27 < emily> bye
10:27 < BLUG_Fred> emily: bye.... and nite
10:27 <@OgMaciel> emily: sorry, yes :)
10:28 -!- emily [~emily@221.223.86.244] has left #foundation []
10:28 < yippi> thanks everyone for coming to the GNOME Foundation IRC meeting!

10:29 < BLUG_Fred> thank you
