Newcomer Workshop - FOSDEM 2018

FOSDEM is a great opportunity to interact with people outside the GNOME community who wants to get involved. The idea is to:

• Gather some existing GNOME contributors interested in involving 2-3 newcomers with their project.
• Make a poster at the GNOME booth where newcomers can sign up for a project they like on Saturday.
• Conduct a couple of "mini-hackfests" Sunday where GNOME contributors and newcomers get to know each other in small groups based on interest and newcomers can get involved.

The idea of keeping them in small groups rather than big classroom, is to make interactions more 1 on 1 which allows parties to get to know each other better. If this is an initiative you want to be a part of, let us know by adding yourself to this page!
