Agenda:
Chat evaluation initiative
1. What are the platforms that have higher chances to be selected? (this information will come out of the interview answers)
2. Are the Basic Features that are added on the gitlab issue the ones we really want our platform to have, are those final? (Yes, these are the features we want the platform to have, but Kristi has some additional notes to include from other teams)
3. I read that the general consensus is: no bridging and inconclusive native client, is that confirmed? (no this isn't confirmed. We're still collecting information on how the community feels about bridges. This will be decided after we receive community feedback).
Working teams groups update
1. Social team -2 new contributors but contributions to the social team or gitlab issues is still low. We're always looking for more people to add to social!
2. Fundraising team- organized 2 meetings 3. Events every week, GUADEC.org team meets on Monday. @LAS also meets every week. Looking for more contributors.
We need to work on new contributor recruitment for the Engagement team.
For GUADEC we could push out a message about learning event.org, or "thinking of hosting GUADEC in your city? Join the .org team and gain some experience" etc. or "if you have ideas on how to create great online events, we would love what to hear what you have to say. Join the GUADEC organizing team" (send a mail to discourse with a call for GUADEC volunteers).
Action item: Caroline to create Gitlab issues and post on social media. Daniel is organizing a Spanish and Portuguese language event where they will talk about about how to getting involved and have speakers talking about different areas of GNOME. He's focused on general contribution, not just developers
@Kristi will ask @Martin about adding a short talk in Spanish on GNOME Latino about contributing to the Engagement Team.
Could we do this as a general engagement volunteer drive too? Organize a hackfest and talk about engagement roles and projects?
We are starting the release video, @Freehive is working on the concepts currently. The design team has been involved in conversations about changing the look of the video.
Action item: @Kristi to organize the social hours.
