Things are moving along well. We have all of the materials.
Now ready to hand off things to Caroline. This year the design won't be the same as previous reports.
The goal was to have it in the first months of the year. We would like to have it "as soon as possible", hopefully by April or something like that

Things are moving along. We have things on the website. We will have a professional photographer this year, and the local team are currently looking for one now.
We want to open the call for proposals in the next couple of weeks. Need to figure out workshops and talks, etc.
Sponsorship brochure is going to be launched too. This is one of the priorities.
One of the local organizers finished all of the accommodation.
Did they book all of the hotel already? How does that work for participants?
The university will handle the acommodation.
The goal is to have more info on the website so that participants feel more comfortable getting ready to attend the conference

This is the largest event in South America. Kristi has been asking lots of Spanish speakers to go, but nobody has been able to make it. Someone from Mozilla community wants to help with this. Kristi will have a call with her and see if she can make it. Will help with a presentation. She's a free software contributor, not sure what her involvement is, but she wants to help out.
It would be great to have presence there because there will be thousands of people attending
The person intersted reached out to Kristi. Word of mouth!
Putting out a call for volunteers might be something that we do in the future!
GNOME Interships - Marketing design! Could be a thing. @Nuritzi to bubble up to the board to consider

7 April. Community Day - workshops. We want to have a newcomers session for coding, documentation, marketing, etc. Community day will be led by Kristi and Bastien. Half for non-technical, half for technical.
8 - 9 th are conference days and we will have a booth, SWAG, etc.
Social media promotion. Kristi will do a blog post and it'd be great to promote the attendance. Also Libre Planet is happening Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- We could put these events on Facebook calendar.

Sri proposed a hackfest, seems like a good idea
Kristi likes the idea of having a hackfest. We should definitely do a hackfest at GUADEC. How frequent should the hackfests be? We should have it at GUADEC and GNOME Asia.
