Missing pieces

• Karen's letter
• Sri's text (he said he wrote it, but there is no link)
• General summary for the other hackfests (Emily)
• GNOME 3.4 and 3.6 from Brett is done and he'll send it later today.
• Travelling GNOME text by Dave was posted on Marketing-list, needs to be put in wiki
• Budget (Shaum said he'll have it done by the end of the week)

• We decided to skip LinuxTag (no presence at the event)

To-do

• in the OPW article, we should add a paragraph about how the program was expanded beyond just GNOME (Emily)
• Next up is proof reading and designing
• Emily volunteered to proof read
• Others are encouraged to proof read as well
• Articles currently on Google Docs needs to be moved over to the wiki, Fabiana volunteered to do this. ACTION: Fabiana to move things over to the wiki.
• We need to go through the photos and see what we want to use for the report. ACTION: Andreas to do this and talk to Daniel about the overall design.

3.8 release preparation

• Release notes: Allan has been doing lots of good work on the release notes
• Press release for GNOME 3.8
• Asked Stefano from Debian for a quote
• Also API and Juanjo Sanchez, but haven't heard back yet
• People who would be nice to ask for quotes:
  • Jacob Applebaun - TOR (re privacy campaign)
  • Jim Zemlin - Linux Foundation
  • Christian Schaller
• Other things we need to do for the release
  • We have the essentials covered
  • But also need to cover social media, blogging, online events etc.
  • Need to generate some buzz before the release
  • We have some interviews coming up
  • Allan will poke developers of specific features to blog about their work
  • Allan and Andreas to create infographics for the release, provided we can get stats

GUADEC Website

• fabiana and andreas are working on the guadec website. Need help with content writing.
