GNOME Annual Report, design brief
The annual report tells the story of the achievements and goals of GNOME.
Highlights of our year are the continued effort to advance diversity in the Free Software field, and keep innovating the Linux desktop.
We are diverse, dynamic, community–oriented, resolute, reliable.
Content, text
The report aims to have small articles so it can be read in a single sitting. We are looking for fresh, short, and simple content.
Content, photos
Images that represent the previous mission. To be picked soon, will probably favor big, high-res images of the people of GNOME at the various locations we were this year.
Design, ideas
- Previous reports have felt "crowded" because of lack of padding, or big blocks of text. Let's try something with more breathing room.
- A font friendlier to the eyes on print, like a serif, could be something to try.
Overall, let's try to go for a look that does not reminds people we are computer geeks :-p
