   • Flying:
     • LHR for American and Asian attendees is only 1:40 away and a return bus ticket costs £31.00; flights to many USA cities start at $350 and can often be bought for $500-700
     • GWK is 2:25 away and a return bus ticket costs £39.00; as for LHR

     • LTN and STN for European attendees are 2:05 and 3:35 away and return bus tickets cost £23.40 and £34.50, PDF timetable; flights start at £40 and can often be bought for £100

     • CTY is 2:00 away and a return train ticket costs £32.30

     • Expect to pay £5-10 for lunch if you know where you're going, £10-15 if you don't

     • Most places listed on http://www.guardian.co.uk/travel/2010/aug/27/britains-best-budget-eats-oxford are tried, tested and good

   • Some reasonably priced restaurants can also be found in the centre, but most are moderately pricey
     • Expect to pay £10-15 for dinner, more if you plan to have drinks
9. Events:
   • Pre-event registration:
     • At a nice pub?
     • Does the university have a nice area?
     • Do we have it at all?
   • Football and cricket games: plenty of facilities
   • Evening events
     • Natural history museum? Again, worked at the Tizen conference well
     • Plenty of clubs which won't mind some extra custom on a weekday night
     • Botanical garden? Worked well at the Tizen conference
   • Oxford is overwhelmed with touristy stuff to do
