It would be wonderful to have a nice new design for a Chat and messaging application built for GNOME 3.

Objectives
Goals
- Display an accurate historical record of conversations
- Provide access for resuming past/ongoing conversations
- Search conversations
- Initiate new conversations with available contacts
- Chat using text, audio, or video modes.
- Support switching dynamically between chat modes
- Allow conversations to be tracked per-person and not per communication network / protocol
- Support multi-person group chat
- Design for foreground / attentive use
