Modern Shell Status Menu

We all love gnome, and I want it to get a modern look on its status menu (the panel that appears after clicking the top right corner).

Design

I got the concept from my android device while the background is from ubuntu-xfce, the degree of transparency will be up to the developers of course. I will try to upload a video showing a proof of concept of some of its interactivity.
