App Switcher

A design attempt, to give a consistent user experience accross different devices.

Goals and scope

• allow switching between apps using (only) a pointing device
• give an overview of all the opened windows

Proposal

Opening the app switcher:

• use the Logo+Tab (or Alt+Tab) key combination, and hold the Logo button
• « push » the bottom screen edge

Switching to the next app:

• Press Tab
• click (or tap) the app icon in the bottom panel

Highlight the next window

• press ²
• hover it

Selecting the highlighted window (and get out of the app switcher):

• release the Logo key
• click (or tap) the window
