Tentative UI Designs

The user can get tags automatically from MB database using the "Automatic MusicBrainz Search" window for any selected file.

If the user wishes to perform a search manually based on "Artist" or "Album" or "Track Title", he can do so by using the "Manual MusicBrainz Search" window.

The user can search the results by clicking the "Find" icon.

Example

Here is an example of how the "Manual MB Search" works. "Automatic MB Search" will also be similar to this. The search is performed for Artist "James Blunt", which returns a list of artists by that name shown in the Artist column.

Once the user selects an artist from the results, a list of albums (Release-Group in MusicBrainz terminology) released by the artist is displayed.

After selecting an album, the different releases (Releases in MusicBrainz terminology) of the selected album is listed. This is required as for a particular album the releases could be different in different countries.

Finally the list of tracks is displayed for the release selected from which the user has to select.

If, at any point, the user wants to go back to the previous search, he/she can use the breadcrumb.
