Calum has worked for Oracle (previously Sun Microsystems) in Dublin, Ireland as a usability engineer on GNOME and Solaris since August 2000. He is one of the authors of the GNOME Human Interface Guidelines and co-maintained the GNOME accessibility themes for GNOME 2.x.
Previously, he has helped improved the usability of animation, visualisation and ergonomic tools for PTC/Division, Heathrow final approach and North Atlantic oceanic air traffic control displays for National Air Traffic Services, and stock market trading products for Reuters.
