New project: BugsquadGoals

During the last meeting we discussed to have BugsquadGoals. We probably want to announce and promote them :P So probably a mail to gnome-bugsquad and some blogposts would be nice..?

We had some goals defined during the last meeting, now it's time to tackle them:

Mail Notifications

It should be possible for module owners to opt-out of automatic changes such as no-activity-to-needinfo-to-closed.

Automatic CANEDIT permissions

Should the permission of a user with commit access be CANEDIT automatically? She will probably commit patches so she has to edit the bugstatus. We want to encourage people to work with bugzilla and restricting them is not necessarily the right way to do so.

Enable votes in Bugzilla or a method to say "this bugs affects me"

Related discussion: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-bugsquad/2004-March/msg00040.html One solution would be add a "This bug affects me, please keep me informed about its status" checkbox, so people wouldn't be able to tell how many other people had checked it. (Except the bug owner and the bug squad).

Bugzilla permissions

Given that we as Bugsquad are more or less maintaining the content on the bugzilla, I think it's a valid question to ask whether we want to have some (technical) control over it as well.

• What kind of permissions are there on bugzilla (i.e. CANEDIT, EDITUSER, ...)?
• Who has or can give away these?
• Shall these permissions be removed or given to some of us? (Maybe vote?)
