Boston Summit 2009

The 9th annual Boston Summit will be held on Columbus Day Long Weekend (October 10-12) in Boston, MA, USA at the MIT Sloan.

The Boston Summit is a three-day hackfest for GNOME developers and contributors. It is not primarily aimed at users or new contributors, but if you want to jump right into the deep end, it's a fantastic way to meet everyone and get involved. Unlike traditional conferences, the Boston Summit is all about getting developers together and getting things done. While there are some non-hacking sessions, they are geared heavily towards many-to-many, interactive discussion and planning, rather than one-to-many presentations.

Travel

This year the travel committee has a limited budget to send a couple of people to the Summit. Please go to the Travel Committee page for instructions on how to submit a request for sponsorship. If you require a visa to travel to the United States, the travel committee will also issue you a letter inviting you to the conference. This letter should be submitted with your visa application to the appropriate consulate or visa agency.

Schedule

  • Propose a hackfest or BOF session - got a project to hack on or a plan to put in motion? Let us know! These proposals will inform the content and structure of the event.

  • What time does it start on the 10th in the morning? -- word on the street is 9AM.
