Installation

Firmware Update

Instructions

FTP Download

{i} If the machine does not boot after the firmware update, make sure that the battery is fully charged, could save you some time.

Launching the LiveCD

Generic instructions, as well as downloads are available at Adam Williamson's Fedlet website.

Note that the internal SD card reader is not bootable, and that the Onda's firmware will not see the USB drive by default. For that you will need to:

Shell> map

Shell> fs3:

Shell> \EFI\BOOT\BOOTIA32.efi

Voila, you're booting the live CD. Proceed as per usual.

{i} Note the necessary changes in the firmware menu below for the internal MMC before starting the installation

{i} If the machine hangs randomly when booted from the Live USB disk, make sure that the disk is plugged into a powered USB hub, even if it's the only device plugged in directly to the USB OTG port.

Hardware support on the Onda v975w

Using Adam Williamson's 3.16.0-0.rc5.git0.1.1awb fedlet kernel.
