Feedback

Please put feedback here. I'll stroke the items once I've fixed them.

  • I think the video is too rapidly paced, this is true for both the animations the speakers voice -oliverp

    • Specially at 0.08, 0.15.

    • I think speaker voice was fine, but parts felt a bit "jumpy" -kat

      • 0:08, 0:21, 0.27, 0:37-0:40, 1:05, 1:11-1:12, 1:26-1:27, 1:40

      • 1:26-1:27 the background is weird

    • I think the background music also plays a role in this feeling so jumpy, its just not so consciously -sils

      • 1:40 it's not clear that you're typing to search and the whole browser sequence might be better if the whole window is shown… if the aspect ratio is a problem, there is a plugin that will resize the window to a specified size

  • IRC shot could do with using people who are actually signed in (the responses are coming from people not in the list on the right) -kat

  • I'd use polari for the last irc note -jimmac +1 -oliverp

---

  • I think the speaker voice could have a more calm and friendly tone -oliver
    • Specially at 0:24,0:38,0:47, 0:51, 1:00
  • Have a hard time to here what the speaker says at 1.24
  • I don't think it should finish with "this is Karen Sandler", I think that sounds weird -kat, +1 oliverp
  • somewhat trivial point: bugs should be filed against the correct module, not gnome-user-docs -kat
  • login background is not customisable -kat
  • Would great with smoother transitions -oliverp
  • Is it a good idea to start the video with gedit, is it not better to use an app with nicer UI? -oliverp
    • gedit is a great example of a useful application; most of the newer ones have really bad examples of help because the applications don't do very much -kat
