Why Monkey?

  • Looks like there's another GTD tool with monkey in the name: MonkeyGTD. Figure out what to do about this.

While I was working on this specification under the working title "The Ideal Time Management Application" I routinely asked Toms Baugis (the author of Hamster) for his feedback. I was quite hyperactive at the time and in one email Toms called me a "mad monkey". That also led to the slogan "Because monkeys are crazy productive!" (they also fling poo, but let's disregard that for the time being). Monkeys, Hamsters, I smell a pattern!

There's also a song by Dan Bern called No Missing Link where monkeys are prominently featured.
