Todo list for artwork related thing for GNOME 3.0

High Resolution Icons

• We need hires icons for all applications, places, devices and document types. They will appear in the alt+tab switcher in gnome-shell.

Control Centre icons

• Make sure all the capplet's icons are consistent with gnome-icon-theme and use the same elements.
• Make sure there are 32x32 versions available. The new Control Centre uses these.

    • gnome proxy
    • date and time (will be a new capplet)
    • bluetooth
    • default printer
    • ...

Symbolic icons

• Everything allowed to appear in the status area need symbolic icons.

/usr/share/pixmaps/

• Have a look there and see what the culprits install, file bugs.

Remove dependency on naming tools

• Come on, even KDE does better! :P Let's use the 3.0 break to force app developers to use proper icon names. This way we make sure apps use the right metaphors too. See GtkNamingSpecInvestigation.

Backgrounds

• We need awesome backgrounds. Preferably CCBYSA3.

High Contrast

• Revamp this theme. We could use moblin stuff. It can also benefit hugely rom icon colouring.
