There are already some GNOME based desktop wikis or similar applications. Most notably Tomboy (has optional WikiName syntax) has similar functionality. Or you can use MoinMoins DesktopEdition.

I would wish that there would be a common approach to all this - so that the data that is stored could be used by many different applications. At least on some parts - maybe a common desktop wiki standard. I think this can be important, because this is about taking notes and organizing information.
