The following test results are in a virtual machine running 3.2 GNOME (openSUSE) with a 1024x600 resolution and are only testing display problems that would be encountered on a netbook computer. Please remove any non-GNOME applications that may have been included.

Accessibility: All applications were tested under normal text size. It seems likely that even more applications would not fit on the screen if a larger size was selected.

Conclusion

GNOME Shell itself is very netbook resolution friendly and most apps work fine with the space provided. Most problems can be fixed by assuring that all applications have working scrollbars. This is especially true for users with larger than normal font sizes selected for accessibility.
