This page documents Gconf keys that Seahorse makes use of but doesn't expose them through the seahorse-preferences app. Note that this table is old and may not be correct at all.

Gconf key

Description

/desktop/pgp/ascii_armor

This key determines whether or not encrypted files will be ASCII armor encoded. Armoring encrypted files is generally a good idea because some binary files do not always make it through email intact.
