How to install and test run www.gnome.org locally

1. Download and install the latest version of Wordpress

• Install LAMP

• Download Wordpress

• Configure MySQL and add the right user to your database

2. Download the gnome.org theme

• git clone git://git.gnome.org/gnome-web-www
• install the theme in wp-themes

3. Import the data from gnome.org

• Download the GNOME Wordpress data file gnome.wordpress.2013-04-04.xml (From April 4th)

• Install the wordpress import module
• If needed, edit /etc/php/php.ini and change upload_max_filesize to a value bigger than the size of the xml file above
• import the xml file

• Set Home to the frontpage in Settings > Reading > Homepage
