Accessing your personal web space at people.gnome.org
Currently the people.gnome.org DNS entry points to proxy.gnome.org (which is a round robin entry on its own which points to the two available GNOME reverse proxies) which makes SSH connections to it failing unexpectedly. If you are here reading this page it probably means you requested your access to the GNOME Accounts Team already and are ready to perform the connection to the service itself.
Connecting to the machine hosting your personal web space can be achieved this way:
ssh -l $uid webapps2.gnome.org
If you still think this does not make sense you can hack your .ssh/config file adding the following lines:
Host people.gnome.org Hostname webapps2.gnome.org User $uid
From now on trying to SSH into people.gnome.org will just result in a success.
