Topics Discussed

Review of Action Items

Discussion

  • Mike will remove the --enable-relocate option from AT-SPI2. Question: Should a bug be filed about doing the same for AT-SPI?
    • Mike removed the option from AT-SPI2. He has not removed the code to support AT-SPI1 relocation.
    • Mike will create a new bug for AT-SPI1 after which people can determine what should be done.
  • Joanie will put LibreOffice on her "to-do" list.

    • She sent a message to the discussion list and received a couple responses of interest: Response 1, Response 2

    • Michael Meeks is the author of 50% of the Atk Bridge that is in VCL.
    • Joanie will keep LibreOffice and working with that community on her list.

  • We should add organized testing to the GNOME Accessibility Team's roadmap with the aim of it being like the Fedora Testing Days in terms of the approach.
    • Joanie added it to the team roadmap.

    • Piñeiro asked if we have someone who has volunteered to do the actual work.
    • Joanie suggested Fer might be able to take it on; she cannot.
  • Atk Hackfest items:
    • Piñeiro still needs to send a general email about the Atk hackfest.
    • Attendees who need travel sponsorship still need to apply to the Travel Committee.
    • Piñeiro has been talking to local groups (including a student group in Coruña) about funding. He will follow up with them.
  • Joanie will investigate who controls the GNOME a11y paypal donations account and draft a page for the wiki.
    • Joanie had emailed Brian Cameron and Germán with some basic questions and to get the "go ahead."
    • In response, Brian suggested that she should approach the full board.
    • Joanie emailed the Board-list on Wednesday and is waiting to hear back.
  • Q4's
    • Most team members still need to draft their out.
    • After these reports are in Joanie will draft a summary and get Piñeiro's review.

Conclusions

  • Mike will file a new bug related to the --enable-relocate option in AT-SPI1.
  • Joanie will keep LibreOffice and working with that community on her list.

  • Piñeiro will send a general email about the Atk hackfest.
  • Piñeiro will follow up with the student group in Coruña about the Atk hackfest.
  • Attendees of the Atk hackfest who require travel sponsorship should apply to the travel committee.
  • Everyone who has not yet submitted their report for Q4 should do so by adding it to our team Q4 page.

  • Once all Q4's have been submitted (or at least a majority of them), Joanie will draft a summary and get Piñeiro's review.

Who is testing the GNOME 3.0 stack?

Discussion

  • We should all be testing GNOME 3.0.
  • Piñeiro observed that right now it is hard to get a "pure" GNOME 3.0 environment.
  • Joanie reported conflicts she is seeing on her system with introspection.

Conclusions

  • We should all be testing GNOME 3.0 as best we can.

Other GNOME 3.0 updates

  • Joanie has also been working on WebKitGtk+Orca.

  • Mike reported fixing bugs that some Redhat people found.
  • Daniel has been working on Evince accessibility and has submitted patches for which he is awaiting review.

Conclusions

  • (None)

Let's define "Miscellaneous Time"

Discussion

  • Piñeiro feels that "Miscellaneous Time" at the end of the meeting is being used by team members to discuss things which should actually be part of the official meeting agenda.

Conclusions

  • Miscellaneous time is miscellaneous.
  • Real agenda items should be included in the official agenda. This can be accomplished by team members adding desired topics to the list on the Meetings page prior to the meeting.
